Arche obtained a mandate for creating a strategy for the future development of a tech Cluster in the city of Abidjan. The project’s objective is to structure and reinforce an emerging economic sector to prepare to further support the growing tech sector. To attain it, Arche performed a feasibility study, including a data collection phase as well as a strategic implementation plan over three years. Arche also worked closely with l’Agence PME Côte d’Ivoire and the Ivorian ecosystem to ensure that the recommended strategy was adapted to their goals and realities.

In collaboration with CIETECH, Arche co-developed a planning strategy of their new building and determined the required technological integrations for the future building. The objectives were to establish a strategy that would allow the new building to be part of Repentigny’s downtown revitalization, to develop the business axis by completing the region’s cultural and commercial axis and by enabling CIETECH to better respond to its mission as an innovation hub in Smart Trade and Experiential Technologies.

Arche obtained a mandate from the department of Economic Development of the city of Laval to develop an innovation program for entrepreneurs. In collaboration, we devised the program by undertaking a study on the city’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and economic sectors, by creating the present ecosystem’s chart and by developing a strategic report for the program’s implementation over three years.

Arche carried out two mandates for TechnoMontreal to develop, respectively, an analysis and a mapping of Quebec’s ecosystem of the smart buildings sector and of the quantum sector. These mandates’ objective was to identify Quebec’s positioning opportunities in these sectors. Arche also devised a structuring strategy for TechnoMontreal’s future support towards these emerging ecosystems and major economic sectors over the coming years.

Arche collaborated with CBC to design and implement an innovation challenge, including the overall experience, for the  CO-LAB event organized by CBC and Canadian Heritage to identify innovative new programs that support the creation of employment opportunities for linguistic minorities. The event brought together 8 community organizations to work with youth participants to co-create programs that will offer access to opportunities in Québec.

Arche assisted Zù with the implementation of their Focus program of incubation. Arche supported them with the development of the program’s structure to ensure its agility, as well as with the execution of their first cohort. Arche also assisted Zù in adapting their program to render it completely virtual within a few weeks, due to the Covid-19 circumstances.

Living Lab Lanaudière

Arche worked with the CDÉJ to design the Living Lab Lanaudière project, an innovative economic development model and the first of its kind in Quebec and in Canada. The developed strategy was validated within the Lanaudiere ecosystem and a proof of concept was demonstrated through four pilot projects. Arche also supported the CDÉJ and the pilot projects’ participants (businesses and start-ups) in obtaining financing for supporting the project.

Currently, Arche is assisting the CDÉJ with the implementation of this unique structuring project in Joliette’s MRC and the Lanaudiere region, which will allow for the digital transformation and development of the local economy. Already there has been economic spillover in the region within many businesses of various sectors.

Intent on supporting and promoting the innovation cycle for research within the university, Arche worked with McGill University’s department of Innovation and Partnership with the goal of developing a funds program to support the development of research projects and help them achieve real world impact. To be able to generate recommendations regarding the design of the innovation support fund program, Arche conducted an analysis of McGill University’s DNA and consulted the university’s internal and external ecosystem. This allowed alignment of the fund with the reality and needs of the ecosystem. The fund’s objective is to finance prototype development and impact generation outside the university.

In collaboration with the Treasury Board of Quebec Secretariat, Arche developed a digital transformation strategy for the Quebec government. To attain this, Arche conducted an in-depth analysis of many departments’ DNA, proceeded with interviews with their internal and external ecosystems and analysed their fundamental challenges and existing opportunities.

Arche’s recommended strategy included recommendations on the development of structured collaborations with the Treasury Board Secretariat’s ecosystem and a plan to implement the proposed digital transformation strategy.

Arche worked with the Canadian Space Agency’s Space Capacity Development Department to co-develop a structured methodology in order to establish an innovation ecosystem model to support new open-innovation processes to support program objectives. The recommended strategy is presently being used to coordinate the synergies within the Canadian Space Agency and to facilitate collaboration with external partners.

The Corporation de Développement économique de la MRC de Joliette (CDÉJ) was to develop a structured project to support innovation and start-ups in the region. Taking into consideration the region’s economic sectors and dynamic of the community, Arche recommended developing a Living Lab project to connect local businesses with innovators proposing solutions in their sector.

The law firm BCF was looking to develop an internal program to attract startups at various levels of progress and prepare their legal experts to work with a new generation of entrepreneurs. The accepted startups within the program benefited from a training and complementary services. The objective was to support the ecosystem while giving the legal experts the opportunity to work closely work with the startup community.

Arche accompanied BCF throughout every step of the development of the BCF Imagine program, from conceptualization to development to implementation. Once implemented, Arche managed the transition of the program to the BCF Imagine team, ensuring a transfer of knowledge and training.

Centech

Centech was looking to redevelop their incubator program for the ÉTS and Montreal ecosystem. Arche accompanied Centech throughout the design, development, implementation and management of the new incubator model called “Propulsion”. This model focuses on the technological readiness, mentoring of the participants and consideration of the mental health of the entrepreneurs. Once implemented, Arche managed the knowledge transfer and supported the transition of the program for internal management. Arche developed the program over a three years period and we continue to collaborate with Centech in the Quebec ecosystem.
